US and China ratified the Paris agreement on climate change

Last September 3 in Hangzhou (China), Barack Obama and Xi Jinping took the quote from the G20 to confirm their commitment to the Paris agreement

US presidents, Barack Obama and China, Xi Jinping, ratified on Saturday together the Paris Agreement on climate change, in a ceremony in the Chinese city of Hangzhou in the presence of Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon .

Obama and Xi deposited instruments of acceptance of the agreement to Ban, which involves completing the process undertaken by both US and China for both countries to formally adhere to the agreement reached at the climate summit in Paris last December.

"When there is a will and ambition, and when countries like China and the United States ready to show leadership and lead by example, you can create a more prosperous world," Obama said in announcing the ratification of the covenant with Xi and Ban Ki- moon.

For the Paris Agreement enters into force it is necessary that at least 55 countries totaling 55% of total global emissions complete the ratification process.

China and the US, the two most polluting countries in the world, totaling about 40% of global emissions, thus ratifying the pact will help to be closer to become binding.

We thought it was a historic day for our planet "Earth" exceeds the outrages of man. The Greek philosopher Heraclitus said that while things rest regenerates the world. It is a great truth so if we attack our planet lowering CO2 emissions and let stand regeneration of our planet will become a reality and leave the world to our children much more promising is today.
